Thanks Gregg! Best I can tell, fastest NA 2 liter in any class excepting lakester (160.2) and streamliner (168). I picked up 6mph over my old engine combo which ran pretty well also. The 160 pass was right at the end Saturday evening. Sunday morning with the head wind we felt the only way to possibly go faster was to put smaller tires on the back which in the past has shown quicker acceleration, allowing longer time in 5th to get up to final speed. But that would have put me going through the lights at better than 10000rpms and as I hope to go to Bonneville (fingers crossed for that meet) we decided not to push our luck. First meet in a long time I haven't broken something.

Jack, what engine combo are you running now??  Is it different from the 4 valve head that you ran in May??

No, same as May ( I was referring to the prior head- 2 valve SBC-SB2.2) However, I added a spacer to the intake ram horns which on the dyno moved the power curve down 500 rpms with same peak power as the shorter ones. It also brought the power in a bit sooner so there was more in the 8-9000 range but did drop off higher. However, it still revved  well (peak rpm was 10245 on one shift)
