Loring first timer questions
« on: December 12, 2016, 04:18:14 PM »
I've run with SCTA, USCTA and ECTA and plan to make the 1,300 mile haul to Loring in May. My two questions are: 1) Do I need an actual LTA log book as the rule book states, or will my SCTA log suffice and 2), where do most folks stay who aren't camplng?

Most hotels for lodging are located in Caribou a short drive from the air field. The LTA log book is prefered which you can purchase when your at the event however I would also recomend you enter the event in your SCTA log thats what I do.
Working in the shop I use the 'F' word a lot. No not that word these words Focus and Finish go Fast and Flathead Ford!

Wow!  You're really close by....  But to answer about the rulebook; IIRC, I use my ECTA log book, which dates back to 2003.

No group to join at this time and I haven't heard of any changes to this in the works.

Everything you need to know to get started is on the LTA  website which can be accessed by clicking on LTA on the left side of the Landracing home page.

Be aware that while the events are run very similar to the other organizations there are some differences.  All the rules and contact info are on the website.

It's a bit of a drive but well worth it, closest to a paved Bonneville I've seen yet, usually plenty of opportunity to get in all the runs you want to.

Hope to see you "up in the county" next season.
