co-rider sought, have bike
« on: April 30, 2016, 11:40:18 AM »
I live outside Vero Beach, FL. From here to Wendover it is 41 hrs. Essentially four 10 hr days to get there. As such I am looking for someone here in Fl to team up with to share the driving and riding at Bonneville. I will provide the box trailer, bike, tools & equip, and spares. You provide the tow vehicle. You pay your entry. We share gas and lodging. The bike is a Can Am 250 cc single cylinder water cooled, rotary valve, six speed set up for M-250 Classic Gas and Fuel and MP S 250 Classic Gas and Fuel. I have been involved in motorcycle, kart and car racing since 1967. 1967 to 1996 road racing,1996-2004 Land Speed with ECTA. Stopped ECTA when they moved to Ohio. The engine in the bike is the same as the one in my laydown unlimited 1 & 2 kart I race with WKA. It has won Daytona 9 times and achieved a top speed of 145mph at Daytona. More info can found on my web site: reedspeedcaferacers.com., click on the manufacturers icons to see pictures of my other bikes. You can email me at reedspeed1@aol.com or call me at 772-468-2144.

This effort is exploratory to see if all the time and trouble to run at Bonneville is worth it, hence the simple single cylinder bike. If I like Bonneville plans are for a 200+ mph attempt with a 1000cc 2-stroke which I will share with my co-rider.

I like the idea of a 1000cc two stroke. A lot!

Ride fast, safety last.

I live in Lakeland Florida and already have two bikes we are taking to Bonneville this year. We are running SCTA race. Hope you find someone who can help you.

Marty,

Thanks for the offer. I'm looking for someone who lives in Florida full time and who has a transport vehicle they don't mind taking to the salt.

regards, jim
