I will try to dig some, have memory of seeing an article, maybe Hot Rod. It was my understanding (possibly incorrect) that the Dolan Jeffries car was the same one that Leonard Emanuelson then editor of Hot Rod (or some position) had set record in GT class the year or two before. D/J ran as G/GT as you and the CD article point out and then ran in GC, ALT and CC classes with records. Interesting that the C/D article suggested that the 255 WHP translated to 332 flywheel. That is a "moderately generous" 30+% drive train loss, somewhat more than the usual 12-15% your see for stick shifts and lead to the comment that that number was "generous" ( and considering it was mostly stock with some tuning and fiddling with the VTEC timing and only went 154 pretty much puts the 332 number in the can. It is also more than I have ever seen for a S2000. Anyway, suggests that Jeffries 400hp from a N/A gasoline 2 liter was equally specious. They did run pretty well though. All their records have been broken. mostly by a variety of Hondas and one lowly pushrod Pontiac.
