I liked the movie, the intricate plot, but most of all the soundtrack.

Most of us can't afford stuff like that, that's why we piece our stuff together to run LSR. :|

Does this design use change gears in the housing on the end of the case? The other design appears to eliminate the change gear set and defeat the reason for the quickchange in the first place.

With Doug Nash 5 speeds coaxial lower shafts were optional with the inner one acting as a shock absorbing torsion bar . The Griffin must use that and with the drive change gear on the inner shaft and driven one on mounted to the outer shaft and 2 intermediate change gears on an offset shaft .

Bob McKee's transaxles with a Borg Warner 4 speed behind a QC had one change gear on the transmission output shaft and the driven change gear on a 3rd shaft that ran forward to the pinion .

I'm sure I'd never spend the $$$ for the PPG nor the Griffin, so my questions are merely idle curiosity-

I can't tell for sure but the Griffin appears to use Hypoid ring/pinion gears. If so, I would wonder why an all-newly-configured transaxle wouldn't employ [more efficient] bevel gears- either spiral or straight-tooth. [Historical note: Hypoid gearsets were originally introduced to allow lower floors in passenger cars in the nineteen-thirties]. The market for this transaxle is performance-oriented, not for passenger car use.
