The guy in the car says to the lady that's gonna give him a push to start his dead car (back in the early 50s, okay?):  "It's got an automatic transmission so you'll have to get it up to about 35."

A few minutes later he looks in the mirror and sees her car approaching his rear bumper at - sure enough -- about 35MPH.

Dan.......100 cc bikes are on their own.

50 cc is the class of the unexpected.

DW

Seems to me that Jack Costella push started a 50cc motorcycle streamliner a few years back...I think he just pushed it up to speed and the motor maintained it during the run...47.353 mph  :-)

We started push starting to save wear-and-tear on the clutch.  Didn't really notice any difference on the two mile speeds.

I think it was DW that once told us that there should be a rule that a vehicle must at least go the local highway speed limit to be on the course.  :-D
