Energy Release metal conditioner?
« on: March 17, 2016, 08:46:53 AM »
Jon, this is not an add or promotion but if you feel it's not appropriate, please delete.

Has anyone here tried Energy Release metal conditioner and if so would you care to comment on it.

I feel foolish even asking about it but an acquaintance has given some testimonials to its merits (no, he's not selling it).

Thanks, Don

We have used ER for many years.  Not only in the race cars but in our farming machines.  Tractors Mowers Pickups etc.  Hydraulics.  It works  Drilling Taping.  Don't put it on your band saw you cant keep the blade on.  Don't put it in a posi rearend.  We use it in our race motors and rearends and transmissions.   Good stuff.

Thanks for your caution, Don, but you're a long way from looking like a spambot.  Even I can tell the difference.

It truly  is good stuff. I was very skeptical at first. The first convincing proof came in unusual way. We were replacing wheel bearings after every meet. No failures but under a glass, you could see spalling on the rollers. I asked the owner (at that time) of ER if they had any ER grease. He said to take whatever grease we thought was best and lace it with ER. We ran those same bearings for 6 years and only replaced them when we had to tow back through a lot of water. I have a lot more info if anyone would like to PM me, I'll be happy to share.

Interesting comment on the "other side" of the ER discussion. http://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/29188/anti-friction-metal-conditioners

To my knowledge, no. It's an unstable ferric ion in a paraffin carrier.

Hi to all.  Been there and seen most all of the "great stuff in a can" and most don't work.  To make sure send some to a independent lab and see what is made from.  Just because they say it has this and not that, does not mean a thing. Have fun!!!!  Mike
