Which splined steering wheel quick release do you like?
« on: March 08, 2016, 11:32:15 AM »
I'm switching from a hex-type quick release (too much slop) to a splined steering wheel quick release.

I need one with the small 3-hole steering wheel pattern (1-3/4" bolt circle, I believe)

Are there any particular brands you like, or dislike?

I'd appreciate any input.

Steve.

Schroeder Racing Products, http://schroedersteering.com/. I have used several and they are priced right and very high quality.

I'm using one made by Sweet. It has a collar release mechanism. I had the same problem as you do with hex designs.

Just make sure the release ring is not plastic.

Been using a Schroeder for 25 years. It is the old spline pin type. I like the pin because I know when it's in. Maybe a couple of seconds more to release but I never fear the wheel is not ready. JD
