How to shorten a uppside down motorcycle front fork
« on: March 05, 2016, 09:13:26 AM »
Hi

I´ve seen from many LSR bike photos that it seems that the bikes have modified stock bike front forks.
The length of the fork is reduced and the travel is just one or a few inches.
How is this done? Just by cutting the springs or by a more sophisticated method?

Yes, like Bjorn, I too would like to know the safe way. We have been thinking of going with upside down forks also. Thanks.

here is a writeup on the current generation (suzuki) style forks
earlier stuff will differ but you may be able to adapt the principal
