Look in Miscellaneous, LSR General Chat - National Paved mile record database for talk on certification. (topic. 15268.0.html)

Then when the USA mile events have some form of agreement from west to east come and talk to the UK Timing Association and the other European, Asian and Scandanavian organisers.

When there is an "FIA equivalent" for standing mile events worldwide, get Dan lots of air tickets so he can certify the racers across the whole world. :evil: :dhorse:

Don't think Dan would appreciate all those frequent flyer miles seems its not really worth so much effort.   :roll:
However I would still like to see East and West locations for the idea here in the USA but thats just me. :cheers:

This from SCTA's Cal Mile page;

"5. Engines must be sealed and or measured prior to the event preferably, sealed engines may be measured by no later than the May 15, 2016 El Mirage event."

May 15  :? :?

Need to make sure I'm understanding this.
By "preferably" they mean you can still be measured in impound for a record but they'd prefer you got measured before hand to save time, right?

Yes, engines will be measured in the impound.

For El Mirage events we allow up to 30 days to certify a record with November being the exception. The Nov. records must be ready for inclusion in the following year rule book.

May 15th is the second and last day of the first El Mirage event of the season, well within the 30 day limit. If that option is used it hoped that the competitor will take advantage to run El Mirage with the opportunity to gain two records with one cert.

In addition, a new for 2016, rewrite of the engine seal rule gives the competitor up to three years life for an engine seal. meaning that if you have been sealed, noted in your log book and the seal retains integrity you are good for Mojave. The main concern with Mojave record applicants will be the body certification.
