This my first time here and I can honestly say that for a private museum, in my opinion, they have done an excellent job. Upon arrival, I was told that there are 250+ docents and 50 - 60 of those are here at any given time. These folks have backgrounds that are prior military or from the aviation industry.....VERY knowledgeable!
As the title of this thread says, this is an Aviation and Space Museum. Even though they have a REALLY good display of Space items, my preference at these museums is for the aviation side. I primarily LOVE the WWII and Cold War stuff!
As I was growing up, my Dad used to tell me stories about innovation that was done in such a short amount of time because it had to be done. Sometimes I REALLY wish I could have been around for ALL that!
Oh my, sorry to digress.....
There are two things that stand out to me and naturally the first one is the "Spruce Goose" Dodge that thing is huge.....just like it's owner.....Howard Huge.....LOL!
The second is their SR71. This is the third one I've seen and this is the only one that has the engine cover up and engine visible. VERY GOOD display
Anyway, here is my Google Photos link from todays pics:
