If you run across any 73 or 74 Lincoln, Big Ford or Merc sedan or station wagon, they should have one .  Think oil embargo/waiting in gas lines (if you are old like me)

Most 77 and 78 Thunderbirds and Cougars with 351/400M engines had 2.47s in them. That oil thing again.

The one that lives behind my shop is out of a 66 or 67 mustang, ratio unknown. However it is complete as in [9'' ford rear with axels and center...no brakes.

being a bike guy, where would the ratio be on the rear!

Runt

There might be a little metal tag about 1" by 3"  held onto the outside of the center section by one of the nuts along the lower front.  Some had the actual ratio stamped in them, some a letter code. After almost 50 years the odds of it being there, legible, and still applying to whats inside aren't that great.  Only way to know for sure is pull the chunk/pumpkin, count the teeth on the ring and pinion gears, then divide.

(if you turn one drum and they both sides turn together) Turn one drum 360 degrees and see how many times the yoke turns.

(if you turn one drum and the other side pretty much stays put) Turn one drum 720 degrees and see how many times the yoke turns    :-)
