PRI Show Seminar audio track: Opportunities in Land Speed Racing
« on: February 03, 2016, 12:43:52 PM »
The December motorsports trade show hosted a seminar for attendees to expose them to the amateur sport. PRI Magazine Editor Dan Schechner moderates a panel discussion—with expert panelists "LandSpeed" Louise Ann Noeth, Steve Watt, Tom Burkland and Stuart Gosswein—on the state of land speed racing, business opportunities, and more.

Thanks for posting the link, Louise.  I asked the PRI folks if they'd help me get a copy to post here -- and whether or not they had anything to do with you getting it -- I don't care.

Girls and boys, please -- take the one hour ++ that it'll take to see the entire presentation and watch/listen.  Then we'll all have that much more information about the thinking and doing that's going on to save the salt.

A question was raised in a private discussion I had, and I genuinely don't know the answer.

I'm not a SEMA member, and access to their list of membership is limited to members, but does anybody know if Intrepid is a SEMA member?

Thanks for the reminder about the show.  I've got a link to the PRI-operated audio  from the entire program.  It's the full length - so if anyone is interested I'll post it as just a link.

Hello Jon,

It was nice meeting you following our seminar on land speed racing at the 2015 PRI Trade Show.

Per our conversation, here is a link to the audio of the aforementioned presentation:

Slim,
 Thank you for the audio.
It made it possible for me to get first hand information of the effort.
(My internet connection is roughly equal to dial up)

Thanks again,

My understanding is that you need to be an automotive manufacturer to become a SEMA member.  Intrepid would not qualify.

I listened to the whole thing and I am "Biased" so only what Tom said resonated with me.
I take advice from guys that have been there, done that and he made sense. Just my South African 2C. :-D
