Bench Racing Section
« on: January 31, 2016, 12:49:37 PM »
How about a bench racing section?  Just a place to talk about complete and utter nonsense ideas more or less.  I think everyone here loves pondering what could be and following various ideas both good and bad.  Maybe at the end of the year hand out the "world's fastest bench racer" award!  Some of the most enjoyable time I spend with the gear head friends I have is spent bench racing, and comming up with REALLY bad ideas... like cutting the top of a 88 mercury grand marque, welding the doors together to turn it into a two door spider.  Or... maybe building your own intake for a polyhead using individual mikuni's on tuned length runners to feed a polysphere.

Maybe we need to rename it for the newbie so he understands its purpose...

What? I figured it was only for super serious biz... (eye roll)

Glen, again, it's nothing to do with the way you guys smell, I just don't think the schedule will work out.

Serious, I get home about 5pm Pacific, rush around, do some chores, shower, cook and eat dinner (I got this great little grill I use in my tiny fire place, wood fired eats every night!) and try to get to bed by 8pm so I that I can get up at 4am and do it all over again.  Takes me an hour to get to work, takes me an hour to get home.  Oh and work in some play time for the cat and petting time for the cat. Maury turns into a little bitch when he's not payed attention too.

Seriously, keep goin', I won't be able to walk here, my balls 'll be to sore.

Could it just be everyone's afraid to own up to their less brilliant ideas?  I mean...the tech section is for serious questions like, using fans to generate suction to stick the car to the salt.

Okay, girls and boys.  How 'bout we put the hasslin' on hold for a while and just plain get back to racing and building and so on?  If you wanna play at each other -- hey, nah, let's just think about how we're going to go safer, faster, and have more fun.

doooooh come on, let them get it out of their system!  My skins thick enough to have it's own SFI rating.  It's not anything I haven't dealt with on 80 meters!

You could get on easily Mike except that it would be at 4:00 am on Wednesday morning and I'm not sure you want to put up with us at that time.  :-D :-D :-D

Dang, Ben -- I haven't been on the lower bands in a good long time.  Is it really that bad these days?

It's hard to tell it from 11 meters at times. People jamming each other, threats getting made, it's pretty stupid.  Of course no one ID's
