How much weight should be run in a roadster at the mile or mile and a half courses? Right now I'm about 4000# and I know that's too heavy.

Weight is not your friend on shorter courses. The shorter the course the more weight matters. I would remove all the removable ballast. If you are spinning the tire a lot put some back in the back.

At Bville you add weight to speed it up until it starts slowing down to find the right weight. I would try the reverse of that but not set up a 1/4 mile drag race CG.

Hi Sid
That sounds like Dolan's, add gear till you slow down, then add horsepower.

Davidson considers 4000 pounds too light to run 1.3 miles.
Maybe the answer depends on the roadster's horsepower to some degree.

A lot of it depends on what course you are talking about, pavement is a lot different then dirt or salt.
