Metal Sculpture.
« on: January 05, 2016, 03:15:00 PM »
I did my first metal sculpture for a fishing ski trophy.
For my mates on the coast I used to fish with.

Dorado and it is about 2 feet long.

Not world class but I really enjoyed beating the metal.
Gets rid of all the frustration. :-D :-D :-D

I've been working on some metal sculpting myself. I have one that was supposed to look like a B/GR record trophy but came out more looking like 2 connecting rods seized to a crank. Still working things out.  :-D
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.

Looks good Mike.  That must have been a lot of pounding.  Is the Dorado a smart fish?

Yes, they call it that too Jerry.

We used to cheat a bit when fishing for them.

They love surface structure so we used to throw a tarp type floating material
in the water and back off about 50 yards.

You'll get the fight of your life on a fishing ski. :-D
