That silver roadster does not have any identification numerals on the side.  Was it "grandfathered in" from the days before they invented numbers?

If you are looking at the Stan Back(white) roadster the number is behind the front tire. The guy has a hard head.

It looked like when Pete pulled the chute it ripped the rear end loose. The car never overturned or anything. Pete didn't need treatment and was walking around the pits shortly after.

I thought Stan's car was white with white numbers....  :-D He is planning to return to the salt after the strip mining has all the white removed so he will have a contrasting color  :dhorse:

Good to know I wasn't alone.  I was starting to think I needed an eye exam update and fresh set of specs :-D

In that case I do not know the roadster of which you speak.

The San Berdoo Roadsters roadster has a legal-sized, contrasting, easy-to-read number on both sides of the hood -- right where the only one who needs to read them (the starter) is.

(We're trying to keep it low-key when we drive it on the street.)

Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

That is impressive.  A street roadster that races on the salt.  has it been able to set any records against the cars that are taken there on trailers?

I'm still waiting to see final results, line up order and declared points champs.  :|

Also, not to speak for Pete, but he told me that it was getting away from him and he stayed with it a bit too long.  Whatever planetary trans he runs locks up when spun backwards which resulted in bad things happening after the car spun.  Murfed up the car pretty good but it was good to see Pete walking around like nothing happened.
