Franey, I know he hasn't given up on bikes, he's built 3 in the last year.  But Turk always has a project.
My guess is 400-450... I'll bet you can squeeze that much out of that Caddy motor... Buddy did... and more.  Or are you putting in one of your OHV Cads?  That would make it easier.

Depending on the roof line at the back window/trunk line I can guarentee it will lift the rear at 150 and scare the h--l out of you.... Be prepared...from the voice of experience...JD

Talk to the owner of Bombshell Betty. He goes 160 with a straight eight in a Buick.

A 40's car roof line and aero is not quit the same as a any modern car. A 50's fast back isn't either. A vacuum is the cause and it need to be broken. Air vents were the remedy for many years are still correct today. With the rules today, a picnic table or garage door hanging on the trunk is what is being used, but some correct holes and duct works and look a lot better. At 152.90 with some nitrous and a sealed grille made us feel we reached the pinnicle of  success with our 40 Chev coupe especially with 6 cylinder power.

The Bombshell Betty has about a 8-inch chop with no side or back windows.  Not exactly the standard 50s aero profile.  Ask Ron Jolliffe why he stopped running his 50 Olds.  When he saw the lift in a thru-the-lights photo at about 160, he had enuf if I remember correctly.  JD knows what he's talking about.
