Wow...thick, hard, clean, white, smooth salt to race on...just a little bit jealous at the moment.

Don't feel too bad if most people ignore this thread given the fact that our salt looks nothing like that at all.

Enjoy it guys, go fast and have fun out there.
I almost never wake up cranky, I usually just let her sleep in.

I sold my old Vega down there. I hope it makes it to the salt this year. If you see it, please let me know. I would post a picture, but this site is fighting me.

Nearby and more remote Lake Eyre was used for land speed attempts in the past.  Speed boat races might be the hot thing now www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-35203730

  Bo, the Lake Eyre intake is in no way related to Lake Gairdner, the only way water gets into "our" lake, is from the surrounding hills.

some news for speedweek . as you know we are a long way from anywhere and have to organize things
 for our members . the canteen is about 30 or 40 feet above the lake and overlooks about the 1 mile .
