I know its a little early for results. Just wondering how things went today.

Cummins, Beck, Davidson and Thornsberry (911) went 258 on a 40 year old 256 record in C/BFMR, it was spectacular!

You are right, I was assigning the wrong values to my fingers.

OK, a great day at the lake bed! Lots of records & some new dirty 2 club members. I will do my best to remember who did what to keep you all pacified until the SCTA can post the official results.
As far as my pictures go, I just use a point & shoot camera. Pork Pie was in the house, his & Zane McNary will have much better photos than I.

Top time of the meet (year?) went to the Ferguson 'liner at 262
Dave Davidson driving the 911 roadster set a record at 258 mph
Chet Thomas drove his Street Roadster with a new AA/Blown Gas engine set a record
Brad Bosworth brought his Valley Fever streamliner out for testing.
And a few folks here wanted to see Bill "Sparky" Smith lakester & its new canopy.

Stan Back with his back to the camera worked on this Street Roadster.

Foggy drove Doug Robinson's Fuel Roadster to the high 230's

Les Legget had the Studebaker back running this month

And Skip Pipes had the Blown Gas Roadster making laps with Nathan Stewart at the wheel. They may have solved some handling issues

Not sure who owned the Sunbeam Alpine?

Shipley & Haas were out system testing in Jeff's Streamliner

Interesting turbocharged bike

The California Special was piloted by master body man Gene Winfield

The Black Family has been trying to get their Mustang over 200 mph for a few years. Today Keith made it at ~ 203

The long distance award must go the Hakin from Sweden driving the Coupe.

Bad arse looking & running Modified Roadster

We can't leave out Pat Womack!

How about a Street Roadster racing with an all steel body & current California registration....

The McLeash Bros. with the Silver Rod streamliner motorcycle side car.

Another of the entry's from the White Goose Bar.

Last for now is the 1956 Desoto running a complete GM Duramax drivetrain.

Thanks for the pictures.
Was the racing surface as nice as it appears to be?
How does the driver enter/exit the licensed roadster with what looks like a metal tonneau cover?

Jack, yes the race course held up well today, the best in years IMO.
All drivers MUST be able to exit the vehicle in a timely manner when needed, so the roadster driver has been checked out that he can exit the car on his own without removing any panels.

I stole this picture of the meets Top Time vehicle from Tim McMaster. The Ferguson streamliner I mentioned above.

Don't know if this will post -- but the young whipper-snapper driver got just under 1 MPH to my record.  He's buying the gas, but hasn't checked the driver's contract with the $1000 charge for towing to Impound if necessary.
