Helmet recommendation?
« on: August 25, 2015, 02:35:02 PM »
I retired my ancient modular Shoei Duotec.

What's available in a modular that's
1. quiet
2. comfortable?

Any thoughts most welcome.

You didn't say it had to be affordable so I'll say Schuberth. As far as I know it's the only Snell rated modular helmet. I like my Shoei Multitech for the street.

A big factor in the helmet equation is how much time you spend on your bike.  A top end helmet like the Schuberth is relatively quiet compared to the other helmets and it has nice features such as a retractable sun shade.

It was real hard to find a dealer with a selection of Schuberths so I could try them on for fit.  No one in Oregon had them.  The shop that had a selection was BMW of San Francisco and that is where I got mine.
