I saw on TV that Buddy Baker just died. He was one of the early stock car drivers who raced in the tough old days- before NASCAR.

I think you're confusing Buddy's dad Buck, with Buddy. Both were great racers.

Not only a great driver but probably the best commentator in post driving days. No PCBS just to hear himself talk or shill for $$. He picked up on all the subtle clues and made comments as to what was really happening laps before most realized what they were watching. My he have a well earned rest in peace.
