Fuel Options
« on: July 23, 2015, 01:41:12 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm considering running MR12 this year to see what kind of results that will bring. Would this be available at the speed trials? If not, is there a good place to get it in Utah in case I run out? Or, if you have other fuel suggestions, I'm all ears too.

Thanks,

Rob

ERC racing fuels is the supplier.................bring anything you want.............but if you want to run GAS you must by it on-site and have your tank sealed.

If you want to run MR12 you'll have to bring your own. It is best to find a supplier at home, to track MR12 down somewhere on the road is a PITA.
By running something other than the ERC fuel supplied at the meet you will be bumped into a "fuel" class which means you'll be running against guys with E85, nitrous, nitro and other wicked concoctions.
While ERC doesn't have anything like MR12 by using their fuel you can stay in the gas class and run for records. Bring cash and patience for the fuel truck, you'll need lots of both.
If you just want to see what she'll do run MR12. If you want to run for a record in the fuel class be prepared to jump in the deep end.

Thanks for the feedback!

Handlebar mounted fuel shutoff - I hadn't read that yet, thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, the goal for this year is to see how fast she can go. I don't think we'll manage to run competitively enough for any record this year. I'll save that for next year  :-D
