This is a place holder for pics from Loring this weekend.

I'll be getting into Loring late tomorrow afternoon and will get to the track Friday AM.
I'll be taking pics Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will post the links in this thread.

Also, anyone who has pics, please feel free to post here!

Saw this today on I-95 North of Bangor, ME.....WAY Cool!!!!!!

Followed them on and off for about 50-60 miles and finally into a rest area.
The owner is Kirk Asselyn and he has taken over as Chief Car Inspector from Steve Van Blarcom.
LSx powered and has been run for many years in the 160+ range.
I didn't ask about the Mack tow truck but will get info tomorrow.

Here is my Google+ link if you would like to zoom in on the above pics:

I made it to the track this afternoon but didn't get any pics.

Probably no pics from me today as we are having that liquid stuff that falls from the sky occurring.....70% all day!
If the weather clears, I might go back to the track later this afternoon.
Tomorrow looks to be great and Sunday looks good till around mid-afternoon.

Did have a good time catching up with some usual suspects from Wilmington and meeting some new LTA folks as well.

The area does appreciate the racers and this is proudly on display over Main Street in Presque Isle:

Rain has been on and off all day so I did not make it back to the track (about 22 miles) as we're staying in Presque Isle.

Hope that tomorrow is better.

Franny.....MUCH better today.

Had rain overnight and needed to wait for the far end of the track to dry, so we did not start running till around 9:00 AM.
Weather for the day was between mostly to partly cloudy with the sun peeking through several times.
Temps were in the high 60's which was perfect weather for a guy from NC where the weather has been on the 90's/100's for several weeks.
Joe told me this morning there were 71 entries so there were plenty of runs made.
A lot of folks had either accomplished their goals or broke and have left or will leave tomorrow.
I'll probably leave by 11:00 AM tomorrow.

Here is my Google+ of the bikes and cars today in the pits, staging lanes and on the start line:

My most cherished memory was seeing the Bill Warner Blvd 311 sign. REALLY miss that Guy!

As usual, I hope you enjoy.

True that Sparky. Old Mack truck that is sitting on a modern GM chassis. Way, way COOL looking.
The owner, Kirk Asselyn, did all the work. I'll see if I can get more pics of it.

Gregg, that '71 phantom "Superbird" is quite interesting.

While Plymouth never made one, MPC did, and I remember gluing one together in the early 1970's . . .

I think it makes for a better looking Superbird than the original!

Chris,
Here is the link to Gary & Pam Beineke's website about their 71 Daytona and Superbird that were never made.
They are really well detailed cars and they also go like stink!!!!  :-D

As I figured, many folks left yesterday or early this morning and the pits and staging lanes were mostly empty.
I'm guessing that there were only 15 - 20 folks and they were lapping bigtime.
As you saw on my other thread, I was gone by around 10:45 AM.

Quick recap:
Top bike speed was from Ryan Ostergard at 253 and change.
Top car speed was from McClain-Jinkens-McClain (The Barker Car) with Bob Jinkens driving at 222 and change.

Here is my Google+ link from today of the pits, staging lanes, starting line and several of the base itself:

I can honestly say that this was a fantastic meet and the hospitality provided to me for our audio streaming was outstanding. My sincere thanks to Tim Kelly, Joe Daly, Jesse Michaud and Kirk Asselyn.

Now for the LONG drive home.....WAAAA!!!!!  :-D

As usual, I hope you enjoy!
