Fuel
« on: August 01, 2015, 08:50:11 PM »
Hey guys
I am doing the Mojave event and I need to get some fuel-- c12 or similar for an old Vincent
I am coming from Australia so can't bring my own. Would some one be able to spare a couple of gallons I could buy.
After Mojave I will do BMST and the fuel will not be usable as I run in gas.

   cheers   Bones

You can also go to VP's website and it will list dealers who stock fuel along your travel route.  Most will sell you a few gallons if they have the bulk barrels.  In a worst case you might have to buy a five gallon can.  Make you have a big funnel if you use the VP can, those things appear to be designed to spill as much gas as they pour.  I always pour the fuel out of the VP can into a fuel jug to pour, it makes it a lot easier.

VP is selling c12 at the meet according to news update at bottom of pg. $80 for 5gal.

I guess you mean fuel won't be usable because you have to run event gas?

Hey Jim
Yes coming into LA-- 8am. Then out to Ojai to meet Terry.
Do you know where I can get fuel.
I was hoping to get ERC so I can use it at BMST. If I open a fresh can on front of an inspector he should be able to seal it again.
ERC said Mike Cook is an agent-- I will call him.
It might mean a bit of messing around in LA but if it will take too long C12 will be ok.
Terry leaves Tuesday morning and has to get the bike from customs. If the planets all align we will be there Thursday night.

    cheers    Bones

I can now confirm that our regular VP Fuels supplier will indeed be present to sell fuels to all racers.  He will be bringing 100 and 109 Unleaded, 110, C-12, C-16, and Q-16 Leaded, C-85, and Methanol with him in 5-gallon cans.  If you have other special requirements, call Jerry at 661-917-0519.  He will be at the track on Saturday and Sunday morning at 6:30 when it opens, and if he gets enough pre-orders, he will come up on Friday during Tech to deliver.
