hitch bot to Bonneville ?
« on: July 17, 2015, 09:00:38 AM »
Timing is about right ---

This project will be trying to hitch hike a robot across the country.
Maybe Hitch bot should visit bonneville?

Great way to get some exposure to bonneville in the news.
Salt racers might want to keep an eye on his travels in case things match up for someone to give him a hitch to the salt.

My guess is a teen aged girl was texting and driving when she hit the robot.  Just a hunch.

What I saw on the news was that the robot was violated and abandoned in a ditch outside San Francisco or is it Oakland?

Ever been to Philadelphia?

If SANTA CLAUSE gets booed in the city of "brotherly love", what kind of chance do you really think a hitchhiking robot would stand?

Leaving the poor little guy there was tantamount to robocide.

Chris, can Cheese Curd's be shipped say to Vancouver,Wah? (and still be eatable)?
When I lived in Central Oregon I met some friends who were Natives of Cheeseland and every time they went home they would bring at least five pounds back to Oregon.
Nothing like sitting around with friends "squeaking away".  Kind of similar to Blazing Saddles, but out the other end... if You get my drift.

Bob:

Long ago and far away (Sinop, Turkey to be exact) my mother used to surface mail me two-pound bricks of Tillamook Cheddar.  Always arrived very edible.

BTW, Phil's brother Larry lives next door to the head cheesemaker for Tillamook Cheese and takes care of the guy's livestock while he's at the Eastern Oregon factory.  Some of the (never-for-sale) cheese in his reefer is out of this world.

Curds don't ship well - kind of like rogue robots - you never know what's going to happen.

If you're looking for the authentic sound effects, best to make your own . . .

Guitars don't ship well, either.  Packed one up for our buddy in Melbourne, and it inadvertently wound up in Vienna.
