This is an outrage-- Congress needs to reign in these out-of-control agencies!

Having been a BM participant several years ago, I can attest to the "harsh" conditions in which "Burners" live during the week. The BLM already had a well-stocked compound, and adding to the scope and cost is beyond what organizations should have to pay. I'm sure a win for the BLM here would have ramifications to other events on controlled land. Hoping it gets worked out quickly.

My feeling in recent years on the BLM's over control of "Public Land" is they intend to make it too awkward or too expensive for events like this to carry on. Be it for the apparent reasons to sell it off to mining operations or to save themselves the manpower time of actually having to do their job. The reason the BLM was created has pretty much been lost to the greed & the power hungry of the so called "high level executive's" that can no longer be called public servant's.
Other than their obviously reckless partnership with Intrepid's mining of the salt flats, we have already seen the start of the awkward rule changes & the hands dipping deeper into SCTA pockets.
Just like the the quality of the salt, the BLM's service to the public is going away.

29min into this video, a BLM rep Gregg Morgan gives a clear explanation why the salt is being depleted. He understands why the salt is deteriorating and explains it very clearly.
