I wonder if the contributor will still retain property rights, or does Comp performance group become the "owner" of any ideas submitted!

Sounds to me like they stroke your ego and take your idea. Legitimate programs like this use non disclosure agreements and sort out who's idea it is and then there is an agreement made so that the supplier of the idea receives some form of royalty. The amount is probably dependant on the amount of the originator's participation.

What manufacturer is NOT looking for a "few good ideas"?

Big corporate, conglomerate thinking stifles innovation, in my experience . . . . . .

I would simply ask Comp Cams who retain the patent and mfg rights. It would be premature to judge them harshly without getting the details. I've worked with Scooter Brothers over the years and have experienced nothing but a guy loaded with integrity.

It looks like it could be a an idea to expand their internal "think tank."

The ever-brilliant Bruce Crower told me he sold ideas through the years to  a variety of aftermarket and OEM manufacturers
