Ah, how the years go by.  Nancy and I met Bill in the pre-Sparky days in Houston.  let's see -- with the Chock Full of Nuts, guys, wasn't it?  or were you down there for something else and we and the Nuts guys just happened to run across you?  And then there was trying to lose you have you follow us to some barbecue place way the heck out in the no-damn-place - but you managed to keep up with us anyway.

And it went on from then and there for at least the next 10 or 12 years or something.  Dang, it's been fun knowing you this long, sir.  Maybe we'll make it way more than that long during the next stretch.  The best part of the whole danged time?  When you walked to our pit wearing that shiny new blue hat!

Corngratulations and many happy returns of the day.  We look forward to seeing you on the salt again, and again, and again.

Happy Birthday Sparky. Hope you have many more.
Looks like you're trying to catch me on age. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Oh, oh, oh -- here's another chance for you to tell the story again, Sparky.  It's wonderful.  Well, maybe Linda doesn't remember it with the smile that we do, but still --n please - as your birthday gift to all of us -- tell the story again.

You know, I don't think I've heard the story, either.

But here's to the first year of the second half-dozen dozen!
