PERFECT day here for Land Speed Racing. Overcast all day with temps in the mid/upper 60's most of the day.
BEST thing was an 8 - 10 MPH tailwind all day which is extremely rare.

REALLY GOOD racing ALL day from both bikes and cars!

Tip of the hat from me to a couple of race teams and I was so excited for them.

1st is Sean Mote in his Coupe de Kill Cadillac. He had a "soft" 1st pass at 196 and change.
A couple of hours later.....BAM - FINALLY over 200 with a 205 and change.
I've said it before and will say it again.....Man, I LOVE that car!
In long shutdown after the 205 pass:

2nd is Amy and Frank Hartman who have partnered with Angela Brennen and Mike Matyjasic.
Amy had a soft 1st pass at 128. About an hour later a 2nd pass at 161 and finally about 2 hours after that.....BAM - Amy gets her "B" license with a 180 and change pass.
In long shutdown after the 180 pass:

Also, I didn't see the run but heard that Steve and his Rampage upped his record here to 135! Much better than the 123 he ran last year. I only spoke to him 1st thing this morning and then didn't see him the rest of the day. Hopefully, I'll catch up with him tomorrow.

Here is my Google+ link to some of today's bikes and cars in staging, at the start and on the track:

As usual, hope you enjoy!

Gregg -

Pass on my congrats to Frank, Amy and Steve.

So what's up with the Mini?  Did somebody just shoe polish a number on it for kicks, or did it run?

Missed most of the broadcast - let me know if you're having any issues.

For what appears to be a very sanitary street driven Mini with license plates, knockin' on the door of 100 is an accomplishment.
