this car seems to have been built by George Barris, but I doubt it was a serious attempt at the landspeed record........

I see the ad says Barris built the Monkeemobile - FALSE ! ! !

Dean Jeffries built the Monkeemobile. 

But then the ad also says the Snake Pit has two C6 transitions . . .

As to what they "transition" this monstrosity into, I dare not say, but it clearly needs more than one.

of all the custom crap that barris built that's got to be the worst.
even as a kid in the 60's I thought they were all crap.
