Wow ... The voice of Bonneville doing WOS ... I would go just to hear "Take it to impound".

Very cool! The FlatCad will be there- no way I would pass up a chance to have you announce the car!

Hmmm, OK, Let's see.....Glen's announcing (like last year) and Buddy will be there with the FlatCad.

Looks like I might be doing a trip out West after all.

I can help Jon with the audio stream and also take pictures.

Decisions, decisions!

As long as we're talking about WoS this year -- and that is the raison d'ete for this topic, right? - Nancy and I intend to be there to have the usual fun and games, and I will be streaming the audio.  You'll all be able to hear Glen and the other announcing staff and maybe even me mumbling and cursing/cheering.  No, we won't be doing video - too much hassle at this time.

But look forward to Glen telling Nancy on the radio -- "Nancy, it's 25mph past the pits".  Yes, he's done that when she was on the way to fetch me after I had made a run.

No, I won't be running after all -- unless one or three of you feel sorry for me and offer me a ride on/in your vehicle be it car or bike.  I will for sure take my leathers and stuff.

Monte,  I know its a loaded question and time will tell.... Do you have a guess on course length?  Is there flat out no way for a 5 mile?  Maybe 4 at best?  May make some decisions for people

Rick Vesco was present at the meeting last night and reported that he was able to drive 10 miles at 75 mph in his Suzuki Samuari. Obviously it is not a stock Samuari.  He started down near the freeway and paralleled the international course, he said that his tire tracks did not fill with water.  There have been others out there, and reports are anywhere from total doom and gloom to promising.
The big deciding factor will be to start pulling a drag and examine the results.
We are still planning on going out either the 27th or 28th to do some dragging and determine what kind of a track and event we can put together.  Stay tuned.

One thing Monte didn't say about the discussion last night ... Dennis Sullivan, USFRA President, stated that a decision woud be made about WoS, a go-no go, and the word would go out on September first, that's 9/01/15.  Those who are traveling from a distance would have a chance to make their decisions accordingly.  Pit set up is tentative for the afternoon of 9/10 and 9/11 if a go decision is made.  Racing would start on 9/12 and, if the timetable works out like last year, the driver's meeting would then be at 8:00 AM to get as much racing in as possible.

Will there be a registration cut off, either number of entrants or cut off date? Just wondering if I should send in my entry now or just show up there and enter without worry of being turned away for some reason.

We have discussed the number of entries that we can feasibly handle. Because we are a smaller organization than BNI, we have determined the maxium entry number to be 290.  We have approximately 185 entries in the books at this time. We would encourage anyone that is planning on coming to enter now so that you do not loose out on a chance to run.
