Other dry Lake beds to test at?

Not really that's accessible and safe to run on. Maybe the Mojave mile.

Isn't it possible to test at Elmo?

I would suggest calling up Google Earth and search the So Cal area as there a lots of dry lakes that are accessible just remember that the closer you get to the Marine base in 29 Palms the more likely there will be some shell craters in the lake! Don't ask how I know.

Soggy Dry Lake Johnson valley/Lucerne Valley.30-40 miles south of El Mirage on 218? /Old Woman Springs Road.Havent been there in awhile.Used to be good-smaller but ok.
Sometimes car ruts-go during the week.

Looked up Soggy Lake on Google Earth.Still looks good-whenever the picture was taken.
Soggy Lake/Bessemer mine Road -right off the 218.Good luck

Lucerne Dry Lake?  High power rocket launches every month.  If memory serves me, it's pretty big.
