Ladder bar Suspension setup for LSR
« on: April 25, 2015, 02:11:20 PM »
I’m starting to get the parts together for doing a drag car style ladder bar for the rear suspension on my Modified Pickup build. Before i started doing any cutting and welding I wanted to get some ideas on how to set up.

Coil-over shocks will be used along with a panhard bar. Also plan to use a anti-roll bar.

The instruction that come with the Ladder bars, (Chassis engineering outlaws) say that the front lower mount should be installed lower than the back mount at 4-6 degrees. The front mount has 5 holes for adjustment for track condition. The tuning instructions state that lowering the front mount will cause the tires to “HIT” harder. Raising the front will make the tires “HIT” softer.

Because i will be racing on lake beds and not concrete pads I’m thinking these bars should be installed a little different than a drag car. My first thought is to install the bars flat or 1-2 degree down.
Looking for suggestions. or let me know what you did.
