SFI3A/15 Deist fire suit
« on: February 09, 2022, 10:55:34 PM »
Several years ago I tried to sucker a friend into becoming a  LS racer by buying him a new fire suit. Well he got married and had a kid and you know the rest of the story. The other day he gave it back to help me with funding my project.
It is a medium blue with two white strips on the sleeves. It is one piece and he is 6'4" tall and 220lbs. 3-2A/15 with /20 fire boots size 11.also some Nomax under ware. This is brand new, never worn. If you are interested contact me for more details. Thanks George

Hey George, is that one of the new thinner material suits or one of the thick material suits?  Does it have a size labeled on it so we can look at chest, waist, inseam....

I'll say this, it is heavy thicker old style material. 100percent Nomex. As to the size, he is 6,5ish  and sorta long legs. I measured from just below the collar to the bottom of the leg is 68 inch. From the bottom of collar to the middle of waist band is 25 inch and the inseam is 32 inch. When he was younger this fit him fine now that he is 20lbs older it is tight. If you ain't tall and skinny forget it. Maybe as big as a 36" waist and 44 in. chest. As for price, the suit is $1750 in todays money. The SFI20 boots are $400. with the Nomex undies and neck support, $1500. Or if I sell the SFI 20 boots for $300 then driving suit and everything else is $1200. Back in my TAD NHRA days I bought a suit that was too big for me and had a marine upholstery shop cut it down to fit me. Those days are probably over.

My -15 was for a 6-5 person and I had 4" cut out right above the knitted cuff with the cuff sewn back on. You almost can't tell. The Seamstress who did it sewed the Nomex seat cover for my roadster also using the Nomex thread I also supplied.  Making legs shorter would not be a problem. That's a great price.
