Kate gave me a smooch this morning, and said she'd never kissed a 55 year old man before.

I was grateful to hear that.

I asked her how it was.

She said, "'bout the same as kissing a 54 year old".

So as the numbers increase, not a lot changes.

But thank you, all, for letting me be a part of what I consider to be the greatest racing community on the planet.

And thank you all for your help, support and friendship.  This project would never have gotten to where it is today without it.

Quick edit –
I brought donuts to work today.  Carol Maas, our accounts receivable wizard, thanked me, and asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Without missing a beat, I said, “I don’t want to grow up . . . I want to be Glenn Freudenberger!”

Good comeback, Chris.  We all KNOW without a doubt that Freud has not grown up yet -- so you might as well be there, right behind him, doing your best to keep him from growing up.  You, too.

Nancy and I send our best regards and good wishes to you for a happy birthday celebration and many happy returns of the day.  As for Kate never having kissed a 55-year-old guy before -- well, let's hope that she exercises the option and makes the kiss just the first of many this coming year.

And now that you're 55 you can expect AARP literature to arrive in your mailbox more and more often.  The heck of that is they don't include big discounts for sildenafil.  More's the pity, hey?

Let me throw this out to you, seeing as my advancing age has thrown the spotlight my way.

If you're in the Milwaukee area this weekend, the MG3 club is stopping by my place this Saturday for a presentation on the Midget and, of course, MG's history at Bonneville.  It'll be a slideshow presentation in the garage, and I'll have donuts, coffee and Dr. Pepper for Fordboy.  I think he mixes it with triple sec, so bring your own flask.

Meet and greet at 10:30, presentation at 11:00, should be wrapped up by noon.

Invite is open to the LSR contigent - drop me a PM for the address.

So yes, I'll be spending my birthday CLEANING OUT MY GARAGE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This is a great quote:  "Without missing a beat, I said, “I don’t want to grow up . . . I want to be Glenn Freudenberger!”   cheers"

Remember when it was really cool to get something like booze when you were underage?

Now that you qualify for discounted Senior meals at restaurants  it is great and depressing all at the same time!

40 is the old age of Youth, 50 is the young age of the Senior years.

When I turned 45 I got up that morning and ran 3 miles as usual. I then decided to treat myself so I went to Villiage Inn for breakfast. Because the multiples of 5 are more noticed I was feeling a little tender when the young waitress said "Do you qualify for our Senior Discount?"  Well yes. Yes I do. After that, they were gonna give me a Birthday present one way or another.  Wayno

Wayno;

It is also sobering when young waitresses start addressing you as "Sir".

I was going to stop at Denny's this morning for my freebie, but half way there, I realized I left my teeth in the jar . . .
