Officer elections
« on: January 12, 2015, 04:06:09 PM »
We had the officer elections for the USFRA, last Wednesday January 7th.  The officers are elected for a period of 2 years.
The results are, President: Dennis Sullivan, Vice President: Monte Widdison, Secretary: Ellen Wilkinson and Treasurer: Hugh Coltharp.

As you can see the only change was the President.  We want to sincerely thank Jim Burkdoll for 10 years of service as club president and wish him well in his new pursuit.  He is will along in the process of building a new streamliner.  We hope to see him run it this year.

Dennis Sullivan, is a long time racer and record holder. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position. We are excited to work with him and will do all we can to make the USFRA a going concern, along with a great group to race with.

Since we all know Ellen, Hugh, and Monte (well, sort of -- for sure, who's that last one?  Is it the really short tall guy at the start line?), but Dennis is a name to which I can't put a face.  How 'bout some identification help -- maybe a car number or class and that kind of help.  I know lots more vehicles than I do the owners/drivers.

Thanks, Shorty.

Jon,
Dennis and his son Kyle have car #917, it is a G/STR.  Dennis worked as a safety rover for many years and has been the man in charge of laying out and rolling up the wire.

This is an awful photo as it was dark and I was in the back of the room and just using my phone but here is a pic of Dennis Sullivan from the USFRA meeting last week. I tried to upload this last week but my phone didn't want to reduce the size enough to post from it.  Hope this at least helps a few people out with putting a face to a name.  Dennis will do a great job and is fired up about doing what he can to keep moving forward.  The USFRA continues to be in great hands!  Enjoyable to visit with everyone each month during the meetings and get a chance to talk about ideas and issues and plan throughout the year.

I'm not good about photos of people, but I do get in an occasional shot of their cars, here's Dennis' roadster , very nicely done .
