Don't tell Gregg about the current weather.  He's pretty much of a wimp when temps get down near what he calls "cold".  Anything below about 50F gets his teeth a-chatterin'. :-D

I'd love to 3 events but Wilmington had to give up the April meet because of the cold weather and northern ME is a lot further north than southern Ohio. What about the birds?

That's why I asked the question about weather.

That 1st Wilmington meet is something I REALLY don't like to remember.....Cold, rainy and just plain NASTY!

We cannot encroach on the nesting and gestation period of the Upland Sandpiper. Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has determined that period is May 1st thru July 15th.  The Upland Sandpiper is a threatened species in Maine.  There are 20 pairs nesting on the former Loring Air Force Base grounds.   If we have an event is has to be outside that period.

Like Joe said, we need work around the birds so this was about the only real option.

Weather really isnt all that bad historically. I would anticipate around 50 degrees. Its a spring 50 so it is pretty nice, alot better than a fall 50. I know that sounds dumb, but trust me, lol. Last year even with the tremendous snow we had I was driving my Beetle with no heat April 9th and was daily driving it by the end of the month.

With that said our first Harvest event was late in Sept and that was cold, historically late April weather is warmer than late Sept.

So thats that, of course it is weather so it could be 80* (seriously, look back around 08 or 09 in history, we rode motorcycles that weekend) or it could snow. Well ok, chances of that are really slim.  :-D

Oh, one other thing. Gregg, it was 25 when I woke up this am, 19 around noon.....- that is.  :|
