Wanted: 29" 'Salt Tires'
« on: January 09, 2015, 01:16:33 PM »
Pete Richardson, #1931 VGC, asked me to look for 'a pair of 29" ( 29"+5" ) dia salt tires. I currently using 28" and would like to try a bit larger.'

I'll pass any responses on to him.

Thanks.

Most if not all the larger diameter tires available use a 18" wheel. If this is not a problem both Mickey Thompson & Dunlop make a tire in that size range that has been run at speeds of 250+.
If the 18" wheel is a problem then the 28" Goodyear is about it.

Thanks, Mike.  That's about what I thought.  I've passed that on.

Mike --

Is he still running the A rear end?

V-8 rear end?

A quick change might be cheaper than the expensive tires and new wheels.  And more adjustable.
