Dry Lakes Racing Hall of Fame write-in nomination

Ladies and Gentlemen

For those of you who are voting members of the Dry Lakes Racing Hall of Fame, I ask you to please consider Richard Parks as a write-in vote in the "Historian of the Year" on your 2015 ballot.

In 2007, Richard, together with HOF Historian honoree (2005) Jim Miller, conceived and started the the Society of Land Speed Historians

http://www.landspeedracing.com/2014/newsletter344/

that publishes an on-line, monthly newsletter chronicling all things fast. They have reached out and got many folks to complete biographies and details about her various speed machines, have become a clearing house for current events, assist readers with connecting and locating various racers, families and new speed hopefuls, write editorials on pertinent, timely topics, offer reports on racing event as well as upcoming events, and what ever else might be of interest to the motorsports enthusiast. Richard also convinced Roger Rohrdanz to shoot photos for the group and he remains the top dog shooter 8 years later.

They do all this without pay of any kind. There is no "pay wall" on the website, it is done unselfishly and for the perpetuation of the glorious amateur hobby sport.

It is a wonderful preservation of land speed racing at every level.

A vote for Richard Parks is a vote well and deservedly cast.

Thank you for your consideration.
