Is the top of the control tower still out of the snow drifts?

I saw a news story about Marquette -- having the highest snowfall total in the nation so far this winter.  We're at 150" officially.  Nancy and I live south and east of the city and at an elevation something like 500 feet higher -- so when the forecast says "...the greatest snow accumulations from this storm will be in the higher elevations south and east of Marquette. . ." - they might as well say "The greatest accumulations will be at Nancy and Jon's House".

It could be worse.  We might live someplace where it's warm all dang winter and there's never snow.  I absolutely could not take it -- have told Nancy repeatedly that, when she talks of wanting to move to a warmer climate - - Send me postcards from you new place.  Marquette has four well-defined seasons -- and I like 'em all.

How much snow is on the runway? Will it be melted by April?

Not much as of right now. Havent been out lately but the field in front of my house you can see some of the grass sticking through. Our winter was far less snow involved than everyone elses.

The 4 seasons of Marquette:

1)  Prepare for Snow
2)  Snow accumulation
3)  Attempted Snow removal
4)  Flooding from melting Snow

Leaves plenty of time for beverage consumption . . . . .

Another common way to describe the weather up here is with two seasons:

Swatting & shoveling.

And I've seen your skeeters - you use the same shovel for both.

We live on about 3 miles south of Lake Ontario just east of Rochester NY. The last few weeks have been very cold, near 0F every night. I like a few weeks of extreme cold and snow.
While weather is being discussed, what is the typical daily temperatures at the track in July?

The July race has been very nice weather wise. Upper 70's, low 80's during the day, low 60's at night.

I hope to get out to the runway and do a snow depth check this weekend, I am guessing less than 18"
