Mr. Roadster, sir-- I can only answer your query with an "I hope they'll be available to post".  I'll be asking Ellen Wilkinson for them in the morning, and sometimes I can get them.  They're usually in a thumb drive format, but aren't available to me for posting until they finish going through and getting all of the information into the format they (USFRA) need it to be.  Sometimes that takes more time than others -- so there have been delays lasting a day or two.  Sometimes I get 'em right away.  We can hope for the latter - especially if we expect the former.

In the meantime, if any of you have a chance to note the numbers for any vehicle, please post what you can.  Any (correct) information is better than none.  Thanks.

I don't have results. I have a few fotos and will post within several hours.

There have been several delays. That means fewer runs and results.

Here is the list of the reasons people don't get results.

No runs.

The clocks are out.

Its raining.

The wind is blowing.

We blew up.

The ambulance is gone.

The course need repaired.

Well most of those things haven't happened but some have.

A rider went down and the ambulance was gone for a while. The cars began to

line up and the short course line is very long.

The long course line isn't as long.

There is an airshow here today. There was some happening down there that required

the Wendover ambulance, so no back up was available. Then some car rolled. I saw the

ambulance leaving and the radio said that as soon as the course was cleaned up  the drag

would go down an do some track repair.

Gettin' the message?  So I did a few fotos while I am waiting for the Target550 team to run.

I haven't found a Wi-Fi hot spot out there so I made another trip to Lands End. I am at

my Home Away from home: Motel 6 where I am linked to their modem.

The tracks are a bit soft. There haven't been that many runs to get updated reports.

Got Salt Lakester was an early runner. They said the curse wasn't bad but also not great.

The course wasn't their major problem. They had all new valve train parts. There was a

slight oil leak in the top end. They did a bullet proof reseal. It want a little over board and

killed the oil supply to top end on one side. It also destroyed 7 of the new pushrods.

Not enough spares with them........Seems we have used up at least 4 of the above conditions.

So far no wind, the clocks are working and it isn't raining.  There are 3 days remaining and I

imagine they are runniing while I am here.

I will post some fotos.

I'm not Ray Therat but I'll post some images. Give me some time and I'tt feed you some.

I just had a call and Target 550 will be in line at 5 PM MDT. I'll try to update that tonight.

Bare with me.

What does this photo mean to you?  It shows Chris and Dan Warner conferring -- as Dan writes in his notebook.

Okay, you're stumped, hey?

Chris ran a 126.68 or something.  That's dang near 5mph over the record.  Is he a happy guy?  Does he look like it in the photo?

PS   The photo shows Chris in impound -- that's what it should mean to you.

On another topic Neil asked about the steam car's crash.  Here's what I know about it - and the crash of Jennifer, one of the Fred Vance group.  I posted this on the streaming audio link - that's why it looks a bit familiar.

Hi again, girls and boys.  The steam car saga goes a bit like this.

This morning the car left the line and was building speed just fine.  He was running on a 145 record and turned in a 144 last mile.  He pulled the chute -- and that's approximately when he went into a flat spin.  No, I don't know if he spun and threw the laundry or the chute came out and tugged him around.  The wind was not very high at all.

So - he spun and then the car flipped over and landed on the top.  It took quite a while to not just get the driver to the ambulance and off the salt, but also to clean up the bits and pieces.  Longer than usual, I mean.  Maybe the boiler exploded when he went topsy-turvy?  I don't know anything about that -- only that the course was on hold for quite a while.

One of the riders with the Fred Vance group went down on her bike.  She was riding one of Ryan Ostergard's Busas and for some reason got off at some speed.  I talked with Fred afterwards and he knew nothing at that point - and I still don't know any details.  The rider was named Jennifer (I think he said that), and it was NOT Brenda Sue.  She was with the rest of the crew when I heard from Fred about what was going on.

I forgot to mention this:

Ellen Wilkinson (USFRA board member) said she'll get the run logs from today so I can post them.  She isn't sure if she'll send them tonight or in the morning -- but when I get 'em -- you'll get to see them.  She did say that they'll also be available on the USFRA site ---  www.saltflats.com --- as soon as she gets them to Dan Wright.  He's their web guy.

In either case - you'll see the run logs as soon as possible.

The radio broadcast from the USFRA today did not announce any times from course 2 due to equipment issues.
Due to this, I'm posting before SteveM to let you folks know how his Rampage did.

He ran a 131.xxx on a 106.xxx record and the truck is in impound.

He got to impound after I left so I did not get any pics of this MAJOR accomplishments.

CONGRATS STEVE and GOOD LUCK tomorrow!

Gregg
