Fuel sleeve requirement?
« on: August 02, 2014, 01:25:28 PM »
Help!

Is an Aeroquip (or other brand) fuel sleeve required on a fuel line downstream of fuel pump when the fuel pump is effectively shut off with lanyard / kill switch? My interpretation of SCTA rules is that it is not required downstream of fuel shut-off; however, want to verify before I get to tech inspection.... Am I correct?

Note: I'm running P-P 1650 at WOS.

Thanks,
Steve - Salt Rookie

Steve, before the pump, yes
after the pump no.
Fire sleeve is required on unvalved portions of the fuel line on bikes.  The fuel pump is the shut off valve.
