Suppose for a moment that someone has a recently acquired Snow Water Injection system  :-D

I don't see anything in the rules prohibiting the mounting of the water reservoir and electric pump in the passenger compartment.

Does anyone have practical experience with doing so?  There is a handy spot on the passenger's side of the truck cab which would make for a nice mounting point for just such an apparatus.

Ours was in the engine compartment, but I can't see where that would be a problem, but that is just my opinion.

In gas classes you need to take sealed water bottles and they (fuel truck) will have you open the cap, breaking the seal, and drink from it, or at least that was our experience,

Thanks, Sum.

I'm running out of room under the hood, but still plenty of room where a passenger might have been seated.

I sent a message seeking official ruling on this matter, but thought I might get some input here as well.

I think as long as it is just water it should be ok. I helped with a car at El Mirage and they had a water tank and pump in the passenger area.  Let us know. I need to do the same thing.

Steve, we have water and pumps etc. in all the Camaros just inside the passenger door.  Never been an issue whatsoever.  Shoot me a message or give me a call dude!

Steve,

Here is a pic of the record holding Besic Motorsports 2081 G/B F&G MS Alpha Romeo.
Cooler is for the intercooler and you can see the dry sump tank:

As others have said, I think you will be OK as well with your water injection in the cab with you.

Hope this helps,
Gregg

Panic, if you're wise you'll call Rick Gold (ERC) before you leave home with that bottle.  Ask him his preference (i.e. wine, beer, scotch, etc.) so that you can have HIM take a drink to make sure it's all okay.

Steve,

Here is a pic of the record holding Besic Motorsports 2081 G/B F&G MS Alpha Romeo.

Alpha?? Romeo..........You do the Alfisti an injustice!! Or is it "Alpha" because you are the fastest one on the planet?? :-D

I was wondering if anyone would catch this!  :-D  :-D  :-D
I was at B'ville in 2009 when they got the G/BFMS record at 232.215 so yes, my Alpha was in reference to the fastest one on the planet.
I love this car!

Mr. Spelling Ssupervisor strikes again:

It's spelled Alfa Romero, not Alpha.  The A L F A is an acronym for four Italian words (that I don't know), and it's followed by Romero -- the name of the guy that was the founder.

When I saw the Alpha mentioned a few posts ago I thought something looked wrong.  Don't worry -- I don't think many folks will count you out if you spell it with the ph instead of the f -- but I thought that maybe - just maybe -- you'd someday be in a situation where the correct spelling is necessary to save you from humiliation or maybe to win you a drink from your buddy.  Just trying to help. . . :-)

Greg,

Your reference to the Besic Alpha being the fastest was wrong then and is now. Please consider the Manchen-Manghelli-Kennedy 250+ record holding car. Same car now run by Mike Cook is still a 250+ record holder.

Mr. Mayor.....And I do have several pics of Mike's Alfa but totally forgot about it when I posted about the Besic Alfa.
Thanks for setting me straight.
