Can you run just a windshield?

Just curious, in the altered class can you run just a windshield? Or is this only legal in the CC class. I believe the rule book says windows must be mounted in original fashion, but can you run no side or rear windows?

Assuming you have windows. If you have no windows, how can they be mounted in "original fashion"?
Of course windows might be a benefit from an aero perspective.

Originally the car had windows. I'm running short on time and was going to cancel the Speedweek trip and just shoot for World of Speed in Sept. If I can run with just the windshield I might still be able to make it and do a few runs to get other things sorted out etc.
The side windows are frameless so I need to fabricate some sort of frames to hold the lexan. Like I said, just thrashing and was curious as to possibly running.

Jeff Brock's Buick ran with no windows for a few years. Although he did go faster when he put them in. Keep in mind he ran in comp coupe.
For nothing else than to see what I'm talking about, Google "Jeff Brock Bonneville Bombshell"

Jeff Brock's Buick is what got me thinking about it. I can't run comp coupe as the record is 255 and I don't have the correct safety for over 175 (no chute).

Ever heard this before.... Contact the SCTA chair for altered class
I would guess they will let you run, but maybe not for a record...
