Get well quick Jack.

Someone asked what year Jeffries and Dolan won SCTA Points Champ.  1986
They set a record at every meet.  Also set a record every day at B-ville

Words of wisdom I learned from Jack, "The easiest component to change in a car is the driver."

A "Dolan" story as printed in the Feb. 2003 Car & Driver.  Note pages 1 and 6 for the important points.

Get well soon Jack.  Rolf Harris wrote a song years ago about kidney transplants.  Wish I knew all the words.
The first few lines went,

Who's got Sidneys kidney?
He said we could have it
Didn't he.

Can't remember anymore.  I've been assured kidney transplant don't cause mellowness.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

The 83  "Far and Wider" article generated quite a bit of interest.
They missed more than a few things , including the fact that between El Mirage and Bonneville.
We set 21 class records with 2 EXP/LN7 based cars and were sandbagging about 10%.
I was offered an S-2000 by Honda but didn't need to go to work for them and had faster cars already.

Cutting edge wit?  I thought Dolan only recited the Gospel according to Jack.  Welcome back, and get off the drugs soon, so we can all be held to the fire once again.....................

DRUGS ?

The other people around thought they were mixing their drugs wrong and I left them with that thought at least.
The stuffy head DR. that led all the others around by fear, softened up and by the 3rd day he had ditched the starched collar and tie in favor of a Polo shirt.
I knew I had him in my grips when "ONLY HOSPITAL  ADMINISTERED DISTILLED WATER" was required and the first thing they did each time was pour it into a bucket of ice made from City Water.
I scheduled  for that to happen during one of those rounds led by him and that realization sorta broke the ice so to speak.

Be careful Jack, a slight overdose can silence the sharpest wit. He may not have the sense of humor that you do.

I got word that he made up a pair of ties like I suggested and 1 is waiting for me when I go back tomorrow for a check up.
He sounds to be in good humor, the short coats are still shaking, but I will have a nurse test it for contaminants.
He will do fine.

With a BLOOD draw twice and a clinical exam the next day Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, I am on a pretty short leash for a couple of weeks.
With 3 grandsons running Jr dragsters next weekend at Fontana and a meeting with NHRA that weekend, I am spoken for a bit.
With 60+ E-mails yet to answer, that is my best excuse.

Maybee one of the Amo boys could hook up one of those drag type gurneys like the Indians used and haul his ass down the coarse.  A little NaCl in the butt crack might feel pretty good right about now........... .....

Given what's happened recently, would a JCB be the answer?   :)

Hope you're back on your feet soon, Jack
