Use it mixed with with glycol in an intercooler

This also gives approx temp of -40 (F or C, same at this temp), which is much colder than std water ice.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.....

I'll resurrect this topic to tell you that Smith's DOES HAVE dry ice now - as they have for a while.  It's at the deli counter area - no longer in a deep deep freezer near the main checkout lines.  Lief, the manager, says that they moved it a while back - but that's it's still available.  There you have it.  I don't know details -- how much $$, how cold, what shape - block, sheet, lump - but it's there.  For the also while, they have the usual reefer truck stationed in the lot to dispense regular water ice.  The reefer motor is running right now - that tells me that it's already full.

The Co2 from dry ice gassing can choke the engine or the driver......food for thought.

Smiths has had dry ice continuously (see my earlier email) since at least 2009 when I started looking for it.  As Slim and I commented, it was moved from the end of the checkout line to the deli in 2010 or 2011.

To respond to how the product is offered, it is available as an approximate 12" x 12" x 2" block which they sometimes break so they can sell in 10# increments.
