It's my understanding that Sam Wheeler is considering "retiring" from
land speed racing pursuits. I wish the following would happen:
He breaks the motorcycle land speed record this year (2014)--
at the Top Speed Shootout, where there's more room to accelerate,
compared to Speed Week. If he breaks the record, I assume he won't
be too bothered by someone else breaking his new record. I hope his
new record is broken by the BUB 7 bike, whose team has been trying
for a long time. After that, I hope the BUB 7 record is broken by the
Ack Attack bike, which has plenty of horsepower and a new traction-
control system.
James Toseland and team, as well as Jason Di Salvo (Castrol Rocket),
being relatively young and new to land speed racing, should have plenty
of time to break the new records.
