Bertil Sollenskog

Sorry to report the passing of Bertil, this past Sunday, at his home in Illinois. Long time engine championship builder. Born in Sweden; long list of lifetime achievements. Just recently added a couple of G/Pro records in his Saab to his accomplishments .
Car and crew will most probably take the car to Speedweek as a tribute.
Long live a brother.

Ricardo

Sorry to hear of Bertil's passing. I have always enjoyed talking with him in Impound. Interesting guy.

Joanie and I extend our prayers to his family and friends.

Very sad to hear.  Bertil and his crew were one of my favorites when I worked as a starter.  He was a real character.

Knew him for years here in Northern IL, starting way back when he was building Super Vee engines in Libertyville.    His Antioch shop was minutes from my home, so we kept in contact over the years.    Interesting guy.

RIP & Godspeed
