Tech at El Mirage June 22nd.

I am in the middle of my build and just finished the cage. I am planning to run at Speedweek this year. I am thinking of towing my car down to run through tech and ask some questions about the window net ect. It sounds like Saturday is the day for going through tech. What all is needed? Log book? Would I just need to get a day pass for the lake bed? If anyone has some suggestions I would love to hear them.

Mark, they will tech new cars after all the regulars are run through. But since tech closes at 5:00 PM on Saturday it would be best if (recommended) you showed up on Sunday. Then it can be done at a leisurely pace and you can make notes etc.
You would buy your log book then. You buy the day pass at the BLM entry gate on the way in.

In the El Mirage procedure document it says that no new cars will be allowed to go through tech on Sunday. Is this just for those wishing to race that day?

Yes, following the cut off time there are tech persons hanging around. You can usually get some service then.

Correct, as Dan say's if you wait around and they have finished tech'ing the race vehicles they can do a pre-inspection on your car. They will not tech new cars on Sunday trying to race on Sunday.
If it works better for you to be there on Saturday you will likely get some help after they finish with race vehicles but you never know how busy tech will be. That it why I mentioned Sunday.
